Black Cohosh Root - As estrogen levels decline in a woman's body during middle age, she may experience hot flashes, vaginal dryness, depression, and other unpleasant symptoms. Used for thousands of years to control hot flashes, black cohosh may also offset this decline in estrogen by providing powerful plant compounds called phytoestrogens that mimic the body’s own estrogen. Cinnamon (Cinnamoni Cortex) -- Helps with spotting and relieves cramps. Chaste Tree - For some women, chaste tree berry supplementation may help to relieve hot flashes and other symptoms associated with menopause. Corydalis – In traditional Chinese Medicine, corydalis is said to invigorate the blood, and alleviate pain, including menstrual, and abdominal. Cyperus Rhizome – In Asian medicine it is believed to regulate menses, control pain, is used for headache. Ginger Root - Ginger helps indirectly to relieve chronic pain by reducing inflammation and, particularly when taken in standardized extract form, by lowering the body's level of natural pain-causing compounds called prostaglandins. Licorice - The phytoestrogens in licorice may help to minimize menopausal symptoms by compensating somewhat for the natural decline in a woman's estrogen levels following menopause. Moutan Cortex - Improves blood circulation. Poria Hoelen Mushroom – The Chinese have used Mushrooms for
thousands of years. Hoelen has been used in Chinese traditional
medicine for many centuries. It has also been used in traditional
Chinese medicine to alleviate the symptoms of menopause, chronic
fatigue syndrome, edema, insomnia, nervousness, and weakness Salvia Root - The Chinese believe that salvia root invigorates blood, breaks up blood stasis for disorders in lower abdomen. Scirpus - Invigorate blood; forcefully breaks up blood stasis; promotes movement of Qi and is said to help alleviate pain. Soy (legume) - Soy isoflavones are powerful plant substances chemically similar to the female hormone estrogen. Asian women have a much lower incidence of menopausal symptoms. Studies estimated that less than 25 percent of Japanese women and 18 percent of Chinese women complained of hot flashes. These observations led researchers to believe that soy may be beneficial in alleviating hot flashes in other cultures as well. Wild Yam Root - Wild yam does appear to relax muscles and reduce inflammation. It contains substances called alkaloids, which seems to provide some relief from menstrual cramps, endometriosis, and digestive problems. Zedoaria - Rhizome cooling, diuretic, antiseptic, applied to
pains and cuts; a medicine in throat troubles. Its water paste applied
on swellings, insect repellent. Employed in dug formulations
prescribed in piles, epilepsy, spleenic disorders, difficult breathing
and diseases caused by morbidity. Karchoora taila is the major
Ayurvedic preparation.
Serving Size - 1-3 tablets a day depending on the intensity of the hot flashes. Start by taking one tablet daily. Every person is different. If your hot flashes are more intense, take two tablets, spread out throughout the day. You may take up to three tablets per day. Length of Use - The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology guidelines on the use of botanicals for the management of menopausal symptoms support this use for up to six months. Osteoporosis and Black Cohosh - While black cohosh may be useful in reducing some menopausal discomfort, there is currently no evidence regarding any protective effect of black cohosh against the development of osteoporosis, check with your doctor. Adverse Reactions - Adverse effects are extremely uncommon. Please Note - If you already have unusual fatigue, weakness, loss of appetite, or have symptoms suggestive of liver injury such as yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, dark urine or abdominal pain talk to your doctor before using Keishi+. Interaction: Tamoxifen - This product contains black cohosh which may affect the way the drug tamoxifen works in some people. About Menopause - Menopause is a natural transition in a woman’s life associated with the end of ovulation and menstruation. Because of the dramatic decline of estrogen, women are placed at great risk for osteoporosis, colon cancer and heart disease. Hormone Replacement Therapy - For 20 years, doctors recommended hormone replacement therapy (HRT). In recent years, as many as 38% of US women between ages 50 and 74 years were using HRT but it puts them at risk for cancer, heart disease, dementia, and blood clots. What causes Hot Flashes? A hot flash or night sweat is a symptom of Menopause and rapidly changing hormone levels. As a result, and typically at night, you may feel periods of intense heat with sweating and rapid heartbeat. This may last from two to thirty minutes at each occasion. A hot flash may occur a few times a week or up to a dozen times a day. In most cases, the frequency reduces over time.
