Vitamins and Minerals are essential for various bodily functions. A good healthy diet should provide a source of each but is not always enough. A vitamin by definition is any organic substance that is essential in minute quantities to the nutrition of most animals and some plants. Vitamins act as coenzymes and precursors of coenzymes in the regulation of metabolic processes but do not provide energy or serve as building units. Vitamins are present in natural foods or sometimes produced within the body.

When you put several vitamins together, you create a vitamin formula or a multi-vitamin. So, many vitamins put together are multi-vitamins. Nutritionists recommend certain amounts of vitamins and recommend daily doses. When you put many vitamins together in their recommended daily dose amounts, you get a multi-vitamin or a vitamin formula. These are great for everyday use.

A nutriceutical or nutraceutical is a bit different than a multi-vitamin. As an example, certain vitamins are known to improve memory. Putting all those memory vitamins together into one formula expressly to help improve memory creates a nutriceutical. Biotrex Memory+ is a nutriceutical that puts all the vitamins needed to enhance or improve memory into one easy-to-take tablet. Instead of buying many individual memory vitamins, we put them all together for you, saving you money.

What does RDA  and Daily Value mean? 

Recommended Dietary Allowances are nutrient intake recommendations from the Institute of Medicine, an arm of the American Academy of Sciences. RDAs are safe levels of intake for essential nutrients, based on current scientific knowledge. They are set to meet the known nutrient needs or practically all healthy people. RDAs have been around and updated regularly for more than 50 years.  Now we use the term "Daily Value"  which expresses the vitamin amount as a percent.

You must give vitamin supplements time to work. Certain benefits from Sports+ and Senior+ can be noticed in as little as one day. Alert+ and Memory+ vitamin supplements tend to begin working within 7-10 days. People have noticed changes to their skin in as little as one week, but it generally takes Renew+ one-two months to affect a significant change in a person’s appearance because it takes on average 5 weeks for a new skin cell to work its way towards the surface of the skin.

Yes you can. We currently make 8 vitamin products and when they were created, the ingredients were balanced so that theoretically a person could take 7 of the vitamin products at one time without any difficulty (there is a men’s and women’s version of Renew+). This applies to Biotrex products only.

Companies, like people, do only a certain amount of things really well. Instead of making 100 mediocre vitamin supplements we wanted to make a few vitamin supplements that are as excellent as they could possibly be.

We are constantly working on new vitamin supplements.  We have a Hair and Nails Supplement under development as well as a Cardio Supplement, but until we are happy with their performance, we won't offer them for sale.

Exercise, especially in a hot environment, results in the loss of water and certain minerals when you sweat. You lose a great amount of Sodium and Potassium Chloride when you sweat. When your body loses too much Sodium and Potassium Chloride the body will have impaired heat tolerance, and exercise performance will deteriorate. It is important to maintain hydrated and to replace electrolytes during and after exercise. Strenuous exercise may also place a drain on other minerals including chromium, zinc, copper and selenium used in the metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids. Sports+ would be perfect to take an hour before you exercise.

Every vitamin company in America sources the raw ingredients from the same manufacturers as everyone else. Calcium in its purest form is Calcium regardless of the source. However with certain kinds of Calcium, you can leave trace elements in the final product (coral calcium) or, create that same formulation by adding trace elements in.  What is specified in the formula is what is sourced.

What makes vitamin products different are the amounts of each vitamin, mineral or botanical that is put into each product, manufacturing methods that are state of the art or not as the case may be, quality standards that are high or low, product ingredients that are fresh or not so fresh.

The market can be divided into two types: (1) Manufacturers concerned with low cost, cheap raw materials & processing and (2) manufacturers who are concerned with and un-compromised commitment to quality.

95% of the brands fall under the first category. The remaining 5% are committed to quality and results. It's not what the label says a supplement says it has. Its the source and processing that count. Biotrex Vitamins are pure and effective. The results speak for themselves

A similar vitamin supplement may be premium-priced so it is expensive or priced so it is affordable. If the vitamin supplement is advertised on television for example, the price you pay includes the cost for the expensive television commercial or infomercial. You get what you pay for. Biotrex Vitamins are priced fairly. Most of our products are one tablet a day!  Some require you to take two or more tablets a day.  Everything is clearly marked on the website. 

Biotrex Vitamins are made from the finest ingredients possible. We use botanical extracts which are the purest form of any botanical. We don’t use powdered leaves and stems which "bulk up" a vitamin tablet but don’t provide enough of the actual botanical to do any good.

Read the labels. Other companies may sell a lower-priced vitamin but ask you to take 4-6 tablets throughout the day. Our recommended daily amount for most of our products is one tablet for an averaged-sized person. That means on average, that one bottle of Biotrex Vitamins is a two-month supply! Our vitamins are fresh, properly labeled, and manufactured to the highest standards.

Biotrex uses Glucosamine Hydrochloride. Is there a difference between that and Glucosamine Sulfate? A lot of products use the sulfate form, and we know that it certainly works. The hydrochloride form has been used for many years too and it works just as well. After oral administration, glucosamine sulfate is split into glucosamine and sulfate ion. During the preparation of glucosamine sulfate, sodium and potassium are added and as a result only about 63 percent of glucosamine sulfate is actual glucosamine but about 83 percent of Glucosamine Hydrochloride is actual glucosamine. Therefore, you get more glucosamine per tablet from Glucosamine Hydrochloride than from glucosamine sulfate. Biotrex Vitamins give you more of what you need.

Unfortunately, there is a great number of brands which are committed to low price, cheap raw materials, and low cost processing, which turn out supplements which don't properly assimilate, aren't biologically active and end up stressing your organs. In that form, vitamins can actually be harmful. You get what you pay for. Read the labels carefully. You can print out our ingredients list and compare them to the ingredients of other vitamin supplements.

Not necessarily. Many supplements can be taken daily but a one-week break is recommended every 2 months of regular consumption. Also, occasionally it occurs that following an extended use of a particular supplement, the body may not need it for a while. When it doubt, quit the supplement in question for a little while and see how you feel. Then, reevaluate and decide whether to keep using the supplement or not, and if there is a need to consider something else.

Are your multivitamins vegetarian friendly? The raw material Vitamin A used in all tablet and capsule products on the market is "micro-encapsulated" in small amounts of gelatin, which is an animal product. Therefore, although all the other ingredients may be vegetarian friendly, when vitamin A is added to a product it is no longer truly vegetarian friendly. Sea Cucumber is of animal origin as is Colostrum. Our vitamin formulas are on each page as are vitamin descriptions for each vitamin ingredient.

How long is the shelf life of Biotrex Vitamins? The shelf-life of our dietary supplements is much longer than the usual period of normal consumption or use. Leaving the dietary supplement in its closed bottle in a closed cupboard for normal periods of use will not cause any loss of potency. They are designed to be consumed within 12 months of the expiration date on the bottle. Beyond this date vitamins are still safe to take, but there may be a loss of potency. 

Renew+ contains Niacin (Vitamin B3) and if you are taking vitamins for the very first time, Niacin has been known to cause a temporary rash,  perhaps localized itching or redness on the face, neck and trunk. Do not be alarmed.  This typically goes away after a few days of use. If you do not take vitamins regularly, we suggest breaking two tablets in half and take one-half tablet a day for 4 days. After that you can take the suggested one tablet a day. 

As far as we know, the answer is yes you can, but please read the insert that you get with your birth control pills to be sure or check with your health care provider. We make it easy for you to print out or copy the vitamins minerals and botanicals we use and put them right into an e-mail to your doctor or health care provider.

Are your vitamin supplements Gluten-free? Yes they are.

USA, Territories and Possessions – We ship our vitamins using First Class Mail or Priority Mail by the US Postal service. Orders generally take 2-3 business days to get to you. We make every attempt to process orders the day they are received.

International – We ship airmail, which is a 4-10 day service.

Where does Biotrex Vitamins ship products? We ship to any country that the USA allows us to ship to and where there are no known restrictions about shipping vitamin supplements. A full list of countries appears in a drop-down menu on the online order form. For speed of loading, we only listed a country once so if you come from England, you would look for United Kingdom, etc. If for some reason you have any doubt, or have a postal code that will not fit within the form you can write your address in the comments section of the order form and we will create the address label from that.

We try to use a standard 6" x 9" x 2" box for orders 2-4 vitamin bottles in size or a small white mailer box for a single bottle order. Beyond that, we use a 6"x6"x6" box. You will see a white shipping label, a Biotrex return address label, and generally a "Rattle OK Contains Vitamin Supplements" label on the box. You may see a customs declaration slip and perhaps a delivery confirmation slip too.

We like to tell you that your vitamin order was received. Please write your e-mail address on the online form and we can then tell you that we have your order and also tell you when it was shipped. If we need any further clarification, we can also contact you. We may also alert you to when you’re in need of more supplements or whenever we are running a vitamin special.
